Johnson Sea Horse 18hp

I bought a 56' Voyager that has an 18 hp Johnson Sea Horse Model #FD-11-K with serial number 1663030. Is this a 1961 motor? Looks to be in good shape.

Why? Do you want it to be a '61? Nah, it's a 1957. But probably of more interest to collectors than a '61.

Do you think that it was "stock" on the '56 Voyager?

Boats weren't packaged as much then and i is unlikly a 57 would be packaged on a 56 boat.Of course it could have been the first motor on the boat.Is there any indication of a different camp mark on the transom.
