Johnson Sea Horse 5.5

I just purchased a Johnson 5.5 1958 model CD-15. I was wondering if there are any peculiarities with this motor. It is excellent shape and has hardly been used. The lady claimed under 30 hrs of time on the motor, and it looks it. I paid $250 for it is that a good price. First motor ever and first boat a Gheenoe. Thanks for any information regarding this beaut.

if it is in good shape sounds like a good deal to me. If you keep up the service should give you many hours of pleasure.<br />5.5 CD-15, CDL-15 5516, 5517 8.84 cu.in. = 144.8 ccm Should be a 24:1 oil mix will look it up tommorrow and make sure<br /><br />

Thanks It is in very good shape still original paint throughout the whole motor. I plan on keeping up on the preventive maintenance since I did do twenty in the Navy.
