Can you help? I have a Johnson Seahorse 200 h.p. v-6 engine. There are many numbers on various components, but none containing letters like a serial number. The engine mount bracket says 321013-4. Identification or model line production run? Or location of serial number print? Any help appreciated!

Look on the powerhead for a silver welsh plug with numbers/letters on it. Pass anything you find along.

I don't recognize those as being Model numbers for that engine. You need the Model number to identify the year. For example, if it's before a 1980 model, you would be looking for something like this:<br /><br />200TL76 1976 <br />200TL77 1977 <br />200TL78 1978 <br />200TL79 1979 <br />200TXL76 1976 <br />200TXL77 1977 <br />200TXL78 1978 <br />200TXL79 1979 <br /><br />After 1980, you would be looking for something like this:<br /><br />J200RELCR "CR" Being the year code. CR relates to a 1984 model, but that's just an example. Yours could be other letters starting with a "C" or "E" for the year. Is this a newer motor?
