Johnson Seahorse 20hp '74

Hi guys,

I recently bought a 50 bucks donor motor. The modelnumber of this motor is 20BAL74M. But after doing some research at http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index.aspx?s1=bf6ad09c53cead335fcfd8a6471c0f7fit it seemed that Johnson never made any 20 hp in '74.

So, am I guessing wrong about the year of build or is it something else that I'm doing wrong??

I'd like to compare some parts with my main motor ('77 Johnson 25 hp) in the online catalog.

i find nothing to match that number. check evinrude and gale also.

THey have owners manuals on ebay for this model so there should be other info also.
