i have this old 3 hp johnson seahorse motor ,and it seems to be overheating it will run for several mins and then stall ,how do i check the water pump or could be something else .please help!!!!
There should be some sort of outlet on lower unit to let out some of the water depends on the model.<br />water should not be to hot to touch.Also simply touch the head and side of cylinder if its an over heat will be to hot to touch.You may have a<br />fuel flow problem.Be sure gas lines are clear and<br />tank vent is open and working.If motor sits around a lot the whole fuel system may need cleaning.
