Johnson Seahorse 50 hp

Hi guys!

I recently bought a 1975 Johnson 50 hp, as the model number says: 50LS75B . (Cover says 55hp :S, someone knows why?). Some of the electrical wires around the power pack are damaged, and I don't know what wire has to be connected where. Anyone some suggestions?

If you try hard enough on each new trouble or question you can probably avoid getting a Service Manual, but over the years the trouble and cost of trying to work on an outboard without a good Service Manual is greater than many Manuals.

Save yourself the cost of mistakes and aggravation of having to beg for each bit of information. Even the reprints from www.outboardbooks.com cost less than 20 gallons of premix fuel.
