I was just given a Johnson Seahorse model OKL 15 or 75 (hard to make out the second last digit. The motor was made in Peterborough, Canada but it is spelled as Peterboro on the flywheel cover. It hasn't been running for at least 20 years but I managed to get it running in a barrel today. I don't think it is getting cooling water to the pistons and I am not getting it to run long enough to see evidence of water thought the external lines. Does anyone know where I can get parts and repair information on this engine and it sure would be nice if I can determine the year. This engine belonged to a close friend who passed away with prostate cancer two years ago and I would certainly like to restore this engine in his memory. Any help would be appreciated.

The OK 75 was an 8.1 hp built from the mid to late 30s. If you post the serial number we can pinpoint which year exactly.

The numbers are: model no OKL15 and serial no 80276. Does this motor have an impeller in the lower leg? I had her running long enough to conclude she is not pumping cooling water.
