Yes i have a 1948 Johnson seahorse 5H.P. I was wonderinf if i could find a prop for it (new or used) for a decent price. I was also wondering what i could fetch for a price if I was to sell it. The motor run really good and it has factory paint in decent condition. Thanks for any and all help.

Re: Johnson seahorse

Those are great engines, they seem to run forever. There's a 5hp prop on ebay right now (search "(5, 5hp) johnson (prop, propeller)"). I can't seem to cross it with any modern prop, so I'm not sure any new ones fit. You could probably also find one at an outboard junkyard since Johnson made gazillions of those. Either a local one or an online one like tcoutboard.com.
Since they are so common and they lasted so long, and that post-war outboards don't seem to fetch antique prices, I don't expect your '48 is worth much more than any other 5hp runner out there. Who knows though if you find the right buyer.
Hope this helps!
