I have a 2000 150HP Johnson. The tacho constantly reads about 1800 (whether the engine is on or off) and the self test doesn't self test. I.E. When I turn the ignition the engine just starts...no beeps or lights from the self test.<br /><br />The problem happened at sea last weekend and I got back ok so the motor seems to be running fine. I have fiddled about with some wires but it's made no difference.<br /><br />I took the boat out for a quick trip this morning and again, the engine works ok but the gauge doesn't.<br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Thanks
