i don't find a VX 105 unless it is possibly VX 10S the s would strand for a change in the year.

VX-10 is a V4; bore 3", stroke 2-1/2".

Plugs are Champion J4C, gapped at .030"

Rated 60HP (at the flywheel) @4500rpm.

My local mechanic examined this engine and noted

#1 #4 head(s) were stripped need to heli coil, rebuild magneto and carb system

and didn't think it was worth rebuilding, I would like a second opinion from other mechanics, thanks

Actually, he is afraid that you won't pay for it after he invests his time and money into it. You are the guy that needs to decide if it is worth it to you. If not, pass it on to someone that will appreciate it.
