I have just gotten an old Johnson Super Sea Horse 35hp outboard from my uncle. I have no idea what year it is. <br /><br />Modle # 1872705<br />Serial # RDSL-21 <br /><br />Any help would be appreciated. <br /><br />Dan

D, I believe your motor is a 1959 35hp.<br />Fuel mix is 24:1.<br />I believe you reversed your numbers.

Yes. My book agrees with Spike.<br /><br />Model #RDS-21 1959 35 HP<br />Model #RDSL-21 1959 35HP, Long shaft.<br /><br />Correct mix is 24:1, Unleaded regular and TCW-3 rated oil.<br /><br />Good luck.
