Johnson System Check Commander

I have a 2004 Johnson 140 4-stroke engine with the multi-function System Check Commander gauge, new last year. I recently transferred engine, gauge, harness & controls from a hull I just sold to the replacement boat.<br />First four times on the water everything was normal. The fifth time out when I started the engine the word "SET" showed on the LED read out. This was the first time I had ever seen it display this. I menu-ed through the readouts and when I came to the "Hours" readout, It had apparently reset engine hours to "zero". It now keeps track of hours with no re-sets recently.<br />I called Bombardier. The tech said it was probably a defective gauge. (Three months out of warranty) DUH!<br />I've checked all connections, etc. Anyone experience similar? Ideas?
