64 johnson 75hp....temp light come's on, have replaced the T stat, water pump.

with the old and new t stat we were getting some water out of the exhaust, today we tried with out the T stat and we have no water exiting the exhaust. we blew air through the t stats hoses and it does not seem to be plugged.

At idle it's over heating in a bout 5 minutes the cyllinder temps were 222 and 232 i'm guessing the light comes on about 220...?

Engine starts and runs well.

were thinking something must be blocked in the lowere unit.

any ideas?

Thanks Pier.

Make sure the tube from the water pump to the engine block is inserted properly.
