johnson tilt and trim stopped working

I have a 1993 johnson 40hp motor. after I put the motor up to leave the lake the tilt and trim stopped working. The motor doesn't make any sound. Is there a Fuse? Any help would be appreciated

Try lightly tapping the trim motor to see if a brush is stuck if that doesn't work follow the wires up into the motor there should be a connector between trim motor and the relay box; take it apart and see if you have a bad connection there I spray battery cleaner in that connection on my motor. Good luck

Well I disconnected the connector and hooked it up to a battery and the motor ran. I will try the battery cleaner.

Also I do not hear a clicking noise from the relays. ????

Pull relays out and see if you have corrosion in those connections; if not trace wires to the main plug and see if bad contact there; the newer motors like yours; mine is 1987 may have an in-line fuse somewhere; if not then suspect the t/t switch. You know motor is ok so it's got to be in the wires or the switch. Good luck

Will, I have three different switches which all worked fine until now , I suspect it is a in line fuse . Thanks for your help
