Johnson to Evinrude...

Is it possible that the wiring harness from a Johnson would be interchangeable with an Evinrude, or are there just too many variables too consider? Thanks.

If both motors are the same size and model year, I can't see why they wouldn't be the same. Usually, the only differences between the two, are color and decals. Mechanically and electronically, they should be the same.

It has been my experience that Johnson's are a often more problematic. LOL. Agree with above. Rick.

Look at the plug for the electrical .......... there are only a few series of electrical hook ups and it is a comon switch

How about telling us the models and years of each engine? Johnson and Evinrude have not been the same for over 12 years now.
