Johnson Trim Issue... Oil leak after rebuild.

I rebuilt my TNT on my 2000 Johnson 50 with all the o-rings except the motor. I am finding that when I go past half down, a lot of air and little oil comes out the wiper. Is this normal? My BIL helped me rebuild and he had the piston set up wrong, but I fixed that. Everything else looks right. Is it normal for the oil to come out with air?

It only happens when I am getting half way down with the motor. The motor goes up and down fine until I start running out of oil apparently. Should I leave it a few days to let the air separate?

You give your posting 3.5 hours and then give up. A lot of us only can check the site 1/day.

Air/oil leaking out of the wiper is not good. I recommend you bleed the system, and see if it is better. If not, maybe the trim rods are not smooth and tearing the seals.
