Johnson trim ram issue

Asking for a friend, he lives quite a distance away and is having an issue with the motor not holding up,
The model # isj50tlccs, serial number, g 7733400
Is there a repair or rebuild kit for the rams or check valves? It don't appear to have any external leaks.

First thing to do is raise the motor all the way up and top off the oil level. Then cycle it up and down 10 times and see what happens.
