PROBLEM W/ MOTOR LOADING UP AT IDLE--2 CYL ON LEFT SIDE-ONLY--- HARD TO START COLD--OK STARTING WARM UNTIL LOADING UP AFTER IDLEING FOR 5-10 MINUTES--RUNS FINE 1/2 TO FULL SPEED--SOME HESITATION OF IDLE TO FULL SPEED LIKE PULLING A SKIER<br />SPARK PLUGS WET ON LEFT SIDE-AFTER 2 MINUTES OF IDLEING--RIGHT SIDE DRY--<br />SWAPPED PLUGS AND POWER PACKS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT NO CHANGE-<br />WHAT TO DO???

Ken,<br /><br />First off-LOSE THE CAPS-you're yelling at us.<br /><br />1. Replace the thermostats/bypass reliefs. Might as well do the water pump too.<br /><br />2. You may have a carb. flooding. thanks for the response<br />sorry for the caps<br />was told carbs and water pump were rebuilt--just bought boat from dealer <br />considered carbs--was told top carb feeds top two cyl--bottom carb feeds bottom 2 cyl--is this correct?<br />my problem is left two cyl plugs wet--right two cyl plugs-dry<br />tried swapping plugs--no change<br /><br />do i have seperate bypass reliefs/thermostats for right and left sides?<br /><br />trying to figure out why left side plugs would be dripping wet--right side dry?

I'd take your boat back to that dealer and ask them what the problem is with it. It's flooding, I think, and you just got it. Make the dealer make it right.<br /><br />If it's hard to start and runs lousy, then they misled you about it. If they're a decent dealer, they'll take care of it. If not, then small claims court will help you out.<br /><br />I wouldn't do anything at all to the outboard until you've approached the dealer.

bought it used 3 months ago-only major problems covered for 30 days--was trying to figure out problem before paying dealer to work on it--didn't think it was a big problem until it died in channel after idleing for 10 minutes--thoughtjust needed blowing out after setting all winter.
