First, thanks for all the help last year with my pulse pak issue. The motor has been running reliably for about a season and a half but now has a shifting problem. At the dock on startup I had no neutral or reverse (mayhem ensued). We got home(with what little pride left), removed the shift switch in the control box and started to run tests. Jumping the purple to the green and then to the blue and green together. Nothing, still foreward. Disconected blue and green leads at the motor, took a jumper from the battery, directly to the green then both, still nothing. I read that there could be problems if the gear oil is low or contaminated but it seems unlikely since it only has about 5 runs on it. (I will check it as soon as I can). The resistance checks out at 5.5-5.8 ohms on the solenoid wires, good according to Seloc. Please tell me I don't need a bottom end rebuild. Is there anything else I could check? Thanks for your time. Greg.....

If you have the proper voltage being applied, and ohm resistance obtained at the wires (at the engine) leading to the lower unit, I would assume that you are either low on gear lube, the lube is contaminated, or you have the wrong lube installed. "Premium Blend", also know as "Type C" is required, available at your local dealership.
