I have a 91 Johnson 150 model #J150GLEIS. After compression check, I plan a rebuild - starboard top cylinder 75psi, next lower cylinder 90 and all others 100. Top starboard piston very clean - but sparkplug appeared (unwashed), also slight moisture in crankcase and around top starboard reed. Engine has always ran fine. Thanks for any comments or suggestions concerning water problem?

Re: Johnson - water leak?

Water in #1 may indicate the infamous "glue seam leak". I'm sure there are many who can fix it but I know for sure that Precision Manufacturing (800-237-5947) can or Mar-Fab (800-476-1554). Your dealer may want to call either for technical advise on how to proceed.

Good luck!
