Johnson year and model

I bought a used Johnson 40hp but I'm not sure what year and mode it is [Confused] ,because the Model and Serial number plate is gone.<br />The vendor told me that year was 1994. The only serial number i found on "freeze plug" were: G3756362<br />Any help on the year and model would be greatful.. Thank you in advance.

Elguri' sorry but with OMC we need the model to tell the year, possiably a dealer could ck a parts manual for the serial number and then find the year, with that he could tell you the model, for your own info. I hope I haven't confused you with all of this but I think it might work--Bob
