Hi.i start once again a new post about fuel consumption.yesterday i run my Jo 6hp/73y.I run my engin in half trotle/half speed and suplay fuel from 0.5l botle and in 15 minutes the bottle was empty[/U].is it corect consumption.
im wondering becouse bottom spark looks black and oily.two weeks ago i chnged powerhad gasket.scrws are very tight mounting powerhad.

.5 litre = 0.132086026179 US gallon or about 16.9 ounces X 4 = 68 ounces per hour. That's about .53 US Gallons per hour.

We would expect 2.2712470704 litre per hour (.6 gallons per hour or 76.80 ounces) at WOT, so your use is within normal range.

I reckon something of the order of half a gallon (UK) per hour from my 1984 6hp Yachtwin running at something around half throttle.

well I'm "seek" for Yo/Ev 9.9 two stroke and quite new but i think this one will take more fuel.
i took apart my 6hpJoEv few times.its good engin but the wieight is too ....much
I read about 9.9 tohatsu and it take 5.5/1 hour.
I think 9.9 JoEv will thirsty the same same as this one.
4 stoke engine is better for fuel consumption but weight and transportation mode is worst.

well its my opinion about this 6 hp engines they are good but weight is a little heavy.
i'm thinking about 9.9 JoEv engin and quite new, becouse i dont want to do any repairs.When i bought this 6hp i had to I fix some problems.
and i think this 9.9 will take more fuel(i compere with tohatsu, this one take 5.5 l/1 hour)
