Once upon a time the 99 cu in sported 150 hp.....right before the V6 intrusion. Now a lot of folks will talk about porting changes and this and that, but I'd bet the main difference was carbs, and or just larger jets.....but what do I know.
The way to really know is to get a parts manual and compare part numbers for the different parts of several engines.

Mark

Guys, The inline 150HP had pistons with a power port, that the 115HP motors do not. Also, when comparing parts, start with the transfer covers. I would bet the 150HP transfer covers(and therefore the porting) are a bit different than the 115HP transfer covers.

Hey Chris,

Are you talking about "Direct Charge"? Hence the power port? Well my '89 115 was Direct Charged.

Mark
