Jump packs

Can anyone recommend a good jump pack? I've used them a couple times and they seem like the ideal thing to carry on a boat, but I know nothing about them. Advice? Thanks Iboats.

I bought a black and decker from Wal-Mart (about $60) that I never leave home without. It even has a work light and an adapter for external DC devices. You can charge it with AC or plug it into the boat with the engine running to charge.

I haven't used mine yet to jump the boat but feel much safer having a backup device.

My jumper box has the typical jumper capability, but it also has a small built in inverter to charge my phone, and an air compressor. If you're going to get one, might as well go the whole 9 yards.

I went just the opposite and bought the most basic unit I could find, it can be stowed in small spaces and cranks out 400amps, didn't want all the bells and whistles. That looks like a nice one you have there.

i accually just bought the black and decker one from walmart today ($37). took the boat out for the first time put it in the water and it wouldn't turn over so i pulled it back out and went to the close by walmart and the jumperbx did the trick i wil always keep it onboard

Wow, yours is nicer nicer than mine. Mine does the trick and I have the other plugs on my boat that I can use instead. I was looking to go as basic as I could.
