The coil needs to have a jump wire from batt to power side for it to run. It this just a bad solenoid? Of course it happens when my multi meter gets run over.... Nice haha

Ayuh,... The Purple wires are the Ignition circuit, 'n should all be Hot from the keyswitch in the On position,...

Diagrams are in the manuals, which can be found in the Adults Only section,...

It shows spark but won't fully start without it. The purple wire is hooked up to the coil. Even a jumper from the solenoid post won't start.....

Ayuh,... Durin' the Startin', key in Start position, it's fed battery voltage from the outside tiny terminal on the starter''s solenoid,....

Purple with yellow stripe is hooked up and getting some voltage to coil. Nerd a jumper from batter to start it and dies when taken off all with the purple wire still attached . Not very much to work with till I check the volts but thought I might have missed something stupid . Just glad engine number 3 of the year works and not dumping water into the oil

12.5 volts to starter, 0.04 volts to coil post. Could it be anything other then bad connection inside solenoid? Started came with used engine.
