Junction box

How specific are they. Will a box from a 50 hp work for a 100 hp. The part number I got for the box was part #C649#15b. I have a 79 evinrude 100 hp that I need controls and a junction box for.

Beach.... We'll need to know the year of the 50hp and the 100hp if the 100hp is something other than the 1979 100hp Evinrude you mention.<br /><br />The 1979 100hp Evinrude does not incorporate a junction box assy.<br /><br />Also, the part number you mention for the junction box is not a part number I've ever heard of. As Hootty says, we're going to need some help here.
