If I get a used motor, what would fit in with minimum part replacement. I would like to use excisting trim-tilt, stearing cable, shift controll and wiring. I have a1989-85hp force outboard.Getting feed up with it! Would a like size mercury fit?

I looked into it with my 120 HP force and my mechanic said that anything mercury would be a very simple bolt up because the boat was already wired for it but i never did do it so I can not back up his claim but he said it would bolt right on.
