Good Evening. I know this subject has been beat to death....But I am taking my boat off the trailer tomorrow. I lowered the tongue, and the transom has been blocked and braced in all dircections, at the chines and center. When the front of the trailer was raised it worked fine and the back lifted right off the bunks and rollers. My plan from here is, two hyd. floor jacks placed between the stringers, and than pull the trailer ahead and replace etc. The question is.. can you lift the boat from only the transom, and one spot on the keel, or should there be several braces/jacks on the keel for even weight distribution while removing the trailer? 1965 Formula 24'.Any thoughts on what material could be placed on the top of the floor jack to somewhat conform to the shape? 1/2 Plywood? Thank you.

Re: Just a little nervous

70 is correct........the two main supports are the cinder blocks under the keel and transom......the two auto jacks are just for "tippy" support.

obviously the more support the better......but what was done in the link provided is just fine.
