Nope if it runs. Does the hood say if it is CDI? If so you will not have to adjust the points. Other than that, store it on the right side and have fun. I have a cdi version 10hp BF100 that runs the best out of any motor I have ever had. They are great kicker motors.

Just make sure you change the oil and the impeller regularly. The oil I would change it often the first couple of times to get all the possible crap out of it. The impeller every year. I find my impeller cracks after a year of use. They are cheap in the $20 range. Also depending on how you use it plug help as well. I find I fowl up a set by the end of years fishing.

I have a used 8 HP Honda BF8A, from about 1993 or so. I did replace the impeller, fuel pump diaphragm, fuel hoses and fuel filter after my first season with it. I also found that the pilot (low speed) jet tended to clog by the end f the season; cleaning it (and the whole carb) carefully helped a lot - it used to be hard to start and keep running when put in gear, and so far (in a tank of water) it has been fine. I don't know how similar the 7.5 carb is, but you may want to look at that.
