Just finished rebuilding the 115hp Ocean Runner V4 60 degree engine. Starts right up and idles fine. Question is do I need any special winterizing needed for this newly rebuilt engine ? I won't get a chance to break it in since winter is here, can I just spray fogging oil into the carbs and change the gear oil, or should I do add else to this newly rebuilt.

I'm worry about the oil goo buildups once spring hits due to the rich mixture .
Thanks.

Ayuh,.... I'd change the lower gear oil, just in case water snuck in there....

As fer Foggin',... Personally, with 'bout 3 months or so til start up,...
I wouldn't....
Much longer than that, ya, I'd pickle it....

Ya probably ran that Rich mix fer testin' didn't ya,..??
That'll extra oil it,....
That's how some of the Efi, I/Os are mothballed, mixed gas in the fuel filter, 'n run it...

jmo.....but id run a bit of premix with fuel stabilizer through it, then fog it till it stalls. why take any chance with your fresh rebuild?

I'm thinking the same. Just wasn't sure its a good idea to fog a newly rebuilt since its not properly broken in yet. This Saturday will be in the high 40s, I'll fog it it until it dies then.
