Re: Just have to say

Well, I congratulate Mr. Tebow and the Gators on a great game, but they should really be playing the best team in the NCAA, Texas, and Mr. Colt McCoy, the best QB in the NCAA.

The banners you see all over Texas, "45-35", refer to the thrashing the Longhorns and Mr. McCoy laid on OU earlier in the year.

Can the Gators match that? I wish them luck.

Re: Just have to say, TEBOW

tebow is making the news all the way up here in canada......i havent seen tape on him but his per game numbers are so high.....some times it sounds like the radio announcer has made a mistake.

question tho..............

in hockey......the pros can come at any time and sign any one they want.....
we lost a key 18 year old defenceman and the world jouinors are taking another two of our key players
ive seen it done at college level in football.......it doesnt happen often....but it happens.

how come tebow hasnt been picked up by the nfl?......obviously he has the right stuff......do the colleges sign these guys to contracts down there?

and what nfl team has his rights?

Isn't it bad enough you Floridians can boat year 'round.
Now you're gonna have more braggin' rights.
This winter is just going to be unbearable.
I can see this computer being used for firewood before spring!

True, true, Navy usually does a good job.
But I still have to needle our friends down south while it's still possible.:D
When they win the Super Bowl, they're gonna say "so what" to Navy.

Vince Lombardi's hardware rests proudly with the NEW YORK GIANTS who are presently the NFC EAST Champs. Our friends down south are very quiet this year. Gators are going for the collegiate BCS title and Texas has a legitimate claim to be in the game instead of Oklahoma. And nobody ever says "so what" to the Midshipmen of Navy!!

Here is one Texican, from a 7 generation Navy/Marine family, who will never say "so what" about the Midshipmen. My Great Grandfather was in the very first class to graduate from Annapolis.

I congratulate the Giants, but must point out that they have simply swapped places with the Cowboys from last year. If the Cowboys had their first and second string RBs it might be a fight, but I will be happy to see them get through the season 10-6.

The college players are off limits to the pro teams for three years after graduating from high school. The player then becomes eligible for the NFL draft. Worst team, first pick, etc.

Also, for all those knowledgeable about the NFL, you all know of course most players come from the SEC!!:p :p

Also, you bet we can fish here in the winter...pictures taken last Friday..:p:p

Will continue to send pictures so our Northern friends will still remember what it's like!
There, I think I covered all the bases!!

Texas donated the first half to Tech, then almost beat them anyway. Tech just didn't show up for the OU game.

Yes
When it come to seating, heads up matches outweighs common opponents (or at least should)! This BCS mystery scoring will continue to be an neverending argument by the third place team, and rightfully so.

We should have a playoff type of thing. We have so many bowl games we could. I guess in a month we will know:)

We had to give one to Texas. If not there wouldn't be anything to talk about :)

GO NAVY..........BEAT EVERYONE!!!!!!

After squeekin' in last year, winning the division early feels good. Giants lost their best defensive player (Umenyura) and best offensive weapon (the self-inflicted human target) this year, but I think the depth on the bench is keeping them on track.
Not ruling out the Cowboys yet, but I think their destiny is in the hands of others right now.
I know asking for a repeat of last year's miracle-like season is alot to ask for, but I'm asking selfishly so I can get my son to see a Championship game live at home!!!!!!:D

Re: Just have to say, TEBOW

Somehow people are forgeting a few other one loss teams out there that are pretty darn good ... Alabama, USC (it hurt to type that), Penn State ... And Utah and Boise State are undefeated!

Until a playoff is established there is just a lot of chest pounding and speculation. The Big 12 is a good conference, but they have no defense! I do not like Florida teams, but Florida seems to have the most balance ... running, passing, and defense. PSU is a close second to them. Alabama has a strong defense, but their offense is weaker than some. Texas, TT, OU, all have great offenses, but where is the D-Fence?

Tebow and Colt McCoy are great field commanders and I think better all around players than Bradford and Harrell. I don't think Darryl Clark (PSU's qb) is better than McCoy or Tebow, but he ranks up there with them. He had one really bad game this year, and that was Iowa, the game after his concussion. I don't think he should have been playing that week with the talented QB in Pat Devlin that is behind him ... but that is all for another thread.

GO PSU, beat USC!
