mod#VWB 52119F ser#48X 32864 i think its a 83<br />found this in someone garage and been sitting.<br />gas oil mixture gear oil and what would be the best carb cleaner to run threw it.<br />do not really want to want to take it apart it looks brand new. any info ould be great

Hi Grommer<br /> It looks to me like your motor is a 1984 model. Fuel mix will be 50:1. If the carb requires cleaning you will have to remove it and disassemble it. There is no magic potion that can be run thru the carb and engine without risk of damage. If a mixture of gasoline and oil isn't enough to cut the crud, you sure don't want that stuff floating around in your bearings.The gear oil should be 90wt hypoid (gear lube). There are some additives like fuel stabilizer and decarbonating solutions that can be benifical if used according to directions. Neither of these will help a fouled carb.
