Just went out today for the first time in my new to me stingray. It has a 5.7 performer manifold, msd ignition, and this "thumper"? exhaust manifolds. My top speed with 2 people was about 37 assuming my speedo was correct. I was running about 3200 rpm at the time. Feel like something is missing here. Later I noticed it seemed to be running rough and missing a bit at higher throttle openings and I am wondering if it sat too long and the carb needs rebuilt and maybe a new fuel filter. Any experience with this or anything related to this boat would be greatly appreciated. We had a blast but I think that there is a bit of adrenelene hiding in this boat, I would love any advice or info reguarding my new boat. Not sure of the prop pitch but will do some research to find what is on there. Would like to know what prop options are available, after i nail down the motor issues. Starts up instantly runs smooth aroun2500-2800 rpm. Thanks for any info.
