I just scanned my first pics and put them on a website, so I will put them here to see if it works, the boat is a 1985 21' Laveycraft performance cruiser. The gelcoat is all original.

There is no maximum horsepower rating for the boat and it is insured. (I also purchased a life insurance policy) LOL Actually, the boat rides very well and runs between 75-80 mph with 3 adults.

I have never named the boat, but it sure seems like a patriotic boat. I am sure feeling patriotic, I think I will call her "Miss America" any other suggestions?

One question Evin300, your trimtabs, aren't they mounted too low on the transom?
I think they should be about 8-10 mm (one third of an inch) above level of the bottom of the boat.
Maybe it doesn't matter, maybe it's just the picture. But if you want more speed and lower fuel consumption it can have some effect. I dont think that is a big issue in your case.
/Bear

When you hit the 80 Mph mark do you think the 3 adults in the back get a little nervous?? I know I would!

Bear you are right, I posted another pic that shows the changes I made to the transom. I raised and polished the tabs, replaced engine bracket, added engine jack.

Thanks for the nice compliments everyone, I usually dont push for the highest speeds, but It sure is fun to have the power when you want it.

I have owned it since 93 and the boat has never acted dangerous or out of conrol, its an extremely stable rig, but as a driver I respect the power under my foot and use common sense and performance controls such as foot throttle, wheel mounted trim, high speed life jackets etc. when going fast.

We do alot of skiing and just cruising around she holds six adults easliy. As far as gas mileage goes? I have no idea! Doctors say that when you are truamatized, you are not able to remember the trauma. ;)
