On my 2nd to last outing this fall, I noticed my motor ('97 Ficht 150) becoming hard to start and then running poorly. I changed the plugs, ran some tuner though it and went out for my last trip of the year. It ran the same..even a little worse at idle. I did a compression test and found #3 and #5 very low...35 and 60 PSI respectively. The other holes were between 120 and 130 PSI. I had some time today to pull the heads and found the two suspect pistons are cracked! They look perfect otherwise. So I have a winter project. I would like to know if anybody here has experienced anything like this...or if anybody can explain, or try to explain what has happened.
