Just replaced water pump look at these pictures. 1987 v4 evinrude

This dose not look right why is the shaft off center and rubbing the side of the housing??

What do you guys think?

When you install the shaft into the power head, and install the bolts on the foot, the shaft will be held straight inline by the connection to the power head, and the connection in the gear box. Right now, there is nothing to keep the shaft straight at the top, so it looks like that.

Thanks, thats what I wanted to hear just looks like it may cause a problem.
