In the great North East of the good ol' U.S.of A, it is that time of year! Time to get frantic about boating season.

In a little over 30 days, I will be hauling the Scarab down to Wildwood, NJ. where she'll be plucked from her trailer (home for the past several months) by a mighty forklift. She'll be carried inside, raised accordingly, to where she will sit high and dry on a rack, just waiting for the call from me to dunk 'er in the salt water.

I have to get busy, and soon, making all the final adjustments and repairs. I've got a gauge or two that I'd like to replace, and I've been mulling over replacing the graphics.

Anyone here have experience with Raceline Digital Graphics? Also, what types of prep do you do when boating season returns?

Anyone as excited as I am!? Anyone else get a few butterflies right before they fire up the engine(s) for the first time after sitting silent all winter?

I've been doing this since I was a kid (well, I am a 42 y/o kid now), and I still get butterflies...

Phil,

I'm right there with you. I pick my boat up for the first time on April 15th. It will actually be my first toy.

Growing up in AK, i had all sorts of friends with 4 wheelers, boats, snow machines, etc...

Never had one myself. Then I bought this boat in November and now I'm just waiting for sunnier days.

I've had the butterflies for weeks now....and they aren't going away for a while yet! ;)

Where you doing your boating? Princeton, NJ is lovely. Will you be on the Delaware or heading slightly east to the mighty Atlantic?

April 15th? Lucky you. I wish our marina's were open by then. Most lakes around here will be just at off ice and the marina's not official open until May 1.

For general, day to day, we usually hit Bordentown on the Deleware and go south past Burlington.

Every now and again, I'm sure we'll hit other places, too.

I don't know when the ramps open, but I'm taking ownership on the 15th! ;)

My marina too opens on April 15th. Today I received an invoice for the seasonal rent. So it is coming!
