Got here(actually job site in Elgin)yest., on way "home" from GA. trip, boss says, "hey can you do this job, it's on your way home?" ugghhhhhhh, especially w/ damn flu cold I got in GA. :( . Got job knocked out fast and showed up at hotel, nice Holiday Inn Express. To my amazement front desk guy(real funny) who gave me great directions is almost BLIND! This guy uses a microscopic viewer and very thick glasses(only one eye I think) to look at EVERYTHING, reservations, addreses of nearby eateries, you name it! This guy gave services unheard of to me and all guests! Directions to EVERYWHERE in town, funny as hell, NICE! I couldn't beleive it! It really puts a GOOD damper on you, and a hell of a reality shock to you when you're feelin down, sick, tired etc. This guys enthusiasm would blow you away! Nice to SEE that there are always folks off lots worse than you, who AREN'T gonna get better. Just really made me appreciate all I have :) , Heinz
P.S. Got a hot little rental, Buick Alero. Small and FAST and great burnies!

Heinz,
I know what you mean. A few years back I was sent out to provide on-site software support at a call center in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. Because it was a customer site I had to wear a suit & tie which I hate. One night at about 7:30 p.m. I'm in the break room searching my pockets for some change for the snack machine. Along comes the night janitor with her mop bucket, a small frail looking woman in her mid-fifties who looked as if she had had some hard times. As quick as she could and with a big smile she offers me 35 cents for a cup of coffee. I'll never forget that. Each night I was there I made a point to look for her and ask her how her day was going. She would always come back with a cheerful answer. Some people just seem to be put on this Earth to bring cheer to others.

and great burnies!
What are burnies?
