Re: Just started on "MAKE OVER"

Welcome aboard! Your in the right place to get help and lots of ideas. Won't be long before you will be recieving advice on where to start your project. I'm not familiar with aluminum boats and am new to the restoration process myself. My 3 week project is now in it's 8th week and that should tell you something about my experience! Ha Looking forward to seeing your pics. Ron

Re: Just started on "MAKE OVER"

welcome to i boats.....!

our buddy lund just did a tinny. it is now on the compleated projects forum....perfect tutorial for you.

to up load photos........load them to a free service like photobucket.com.

then resize them to 640 x 480......

then when writing a post here.....just copy the img tag....and past it into the responce......

if you use the manage attachments button....some times the pics come out too small for detailed examination..

cheers

You are making progress very quickly, looking better each time you rip something out. Looks like you'll be ready for the rebuild soon.

That's a perfect candidate for a remodel, I'd grab that one in a minute.

I hope to hear from somebody with a little more snmarts than me when it comes to this > I found very little rotting in the transom it was from the drain hole as you can see. the plastic was weathered and broke . In that well there are two holes for water to drain after taking the well out I could see a lot better . The rot is just around the holes . what do you thinkl?????

Re: Just started on "MAKE OVER"

I started with the intent to finish but some time the good lord gets in the way. I had a triple by pass and a heart valve replacement and had to stop all activity. at least the heavy kind. Now I am just getting back to fishing and golf only nine holes to start. But doing OK If any body knows and wants to buy project boat let me know I have no idea who would want after someone else started but it never did get to far along. You can email at eegolf@aol.com if interested ok thanks to all who have helped me out in the past Downrigger39

Re: Just started on "MAKE OVER"

Glad you're ok. Being an aluminum hull, your incomplete project does have some value. Throw it on Craigslist and I bet you can get a couple hundred for it.
