Just to be sure,, need to order impeller kit.

I am ordering an impeller kit, and just want to be positive that I get the right kit. 1984 Mercruiser 470 big four. Ser. number on the transom housing is 6798108. And lower numbers are 1.98R A300661. I think i'm the owner of a Alpha gen 1? This isn't a pre Alpha is it?

Ayuh,..... That's an Alpha 1, in the wrong gear ratio for the 470,...... oughta be a 1.84:1,.....

Why would that be? This is a one owner boat gifted to me by my bro in law. So it's all original as he bought it.
