Just wanting some feedback

I am really really thinking about buying a pontoon boat that has an early 80's model Force 125
It is a good deal on the boat itself was just wanting some feedback on the force motor
I know nothing about the motor i am going early next week to check it out to see idf it will crank and/or even run. I will keep you posted.

Do a compression test.
The results should all be within 5# of each other.
With a GOOD guage it could be as high as 160?
The important thing is they be even.
Then check the oil in the lower unit.
Salt water? Fresh water? Profile?Location?
If you don't feel comfortble doing this?? Pay a mechanic to check it over.
