just will not idle

1994 150hp Johnson, starts and runs great above idle. i can position the throttle so the RPMs are at 750 and she does well. place the throttle in the idle position and she goes to 450. is there a linkage adjustment? does not matter if in gear or not.

You set your initial carburetor adjustments with the throttle cable disconnected at the engine. When you have that set, adjust the cable so that it slips on without disturbing the lever settings on the engine.

Make your final idle setting in gear, on the water, warmed engine, unrestrained.

100% agree, miss adjusted slow speed stop, and throttle cables.
