Keep my Mercury outboard trimmed up or down when not using?

I have a 2002 Mercury outboard 40hp, 2 stroke, 2 cylinders, oil injected. (Model #1041412ZD) I'm wondering if I need to keep the motor trimmed up or down when I'm not using the boat. (i.e. keeping it in the garage between rides or for the winter) Some people seem to say keep it trimmed up some say trimmed down. I'm confused. Ideally I would like to keep it trimmed down so I can actually fit my boat inside the garage.

Keep it any way you want, the motor doesn't care.
Some leak a bit of fuel for a bit when tilted.

It makes no difference if stored inside. Dropping it down to fit in the garage is OK.

Thanks, guys! Great to know that I can keep it down. I got about 3-4 inches to spare in the garage with the motor down. :D
