Hi Folks, I have a Sampson Tower and it is awesome but I notice that all of the polished aluminum on it tends to get a foggy haze on it over the winter. Boat is stored in a costco special car tent that actually stays very dry inside but it still can get damp so there is no way to keep the boat bone dry year round. Anyway, any secrets to keeping the shiny bits shiny. Took everything off last winter and compounded it all out and now it looks the same, dull and waterspotted. Any tricks. Guy at the boatshow suggested WD-40, that worked awesome on the tower itself but not at all on the stuff that when polished, has a nice mirror finish.

You can polish it and then apply Sharkhide. If the tower didn't have any anodizing from the factory the aluminum will oxidize.

I used a high speed buffer and polish. With polished aluminuim it will get hazy after a while and you have to elbow grease it back into shape.
