I was out on the lake today and had a major problem with my motor. It started with it wouldn't crank. At first I thought it was just something with the linkage, but then it did try and crank. The key quickly became "loose" and started to completely spin over and over, and would turn the guages on, but wouldn't crank. I was able to get a few cranks but not enough to start it. I tried hot wiring it by bypassing the key switch but that did work either. I am going to replace the key switch this week but I am not sure that's the major problem. Has anyone else experienced this? It is a 2003 bayliner 175. Thanks.
