kicker motor prop, lower the pitch?

I recently added a Suzuki DF9.9, 4stroke 9.9HP to my 20' center console as a trolling/backup motor. The motor has a 2.08:1 gear ratio and 7" pitch. Max speed is 6.7mph which close to hull speed.
My question is, boat reaches this speed from half throttle, continue to increase throttle will not change speed (that I know why), but also not changing engine noise. since I do not have tachometer on this motor, i assume the RPM does not change either by listening to the noise level.
Will that hurt the motor? Shall I buy a 5" pitched prop to, hopefully, increase RPM? I know I cannot increase the speed any more. But shall I make the motor work at a higher RPM to be healthier? And, can it really inrease the RPM?

Night, that is an excellent idea and they have a solas amita 4 blade prop at Iboats that is 10" x 5" that will do an excellent job of this for only $ 74. And if you are turning about 3,000 RPM now it should speed it up to about 3,650 RPM which will help.

I already made that mistake of buying that Solas Amita 10x5
Although the prop finder says it is for Suzuki DF9.9. It is actually not. The hub is for 3" gearcase while the suzuki DF9.9 is a 2.5". I got refund on that one less shipping charges.
