Hi all,<br />just recently purchased a 1998 2600 sport cabin,it has a 1 piece swim platform which I would like to mount a kicker, the problem is I want be able to lift and tilt it up out of the water when I get underway, anybody ever mounted a lift and tilt bracket on a swim platform before?I suppose I could mount a solid mount on the platform then mount the lift and tilt to that, just seems theres got to be a better way.

Re: kicker on swimpaltform

I made a mount for my 20 ft cc with a step type swim platform. Used the plastic sheet bulkhead. It is somewhat z shaped. I cut it to L shape. Used 2 pieces, one L pointing down and one up to form a T, (turn T 90 degrees to get desired shape). Used Plastic deck wood to connect together and to get the desired thickness. It is very strong. and works well. No parts to rust or rot. Motor does not get dunked in waves. It might not work on a larger boat where dunking could be a problem.

Just be sure to make it good and strong. If you have 100 lbs hanging over the transom and you smash some big waves/wakes and the boat bounces, that's alot of stress.
