I have 22 Sea Pro about 3700 lbs looking for a slow trolling kicker motor. I found a 9.9 that is in great shape, will this be enough. I am running a 200 yami next to it. I know the 10% rule, but the 200 yam is not a must I could get away with a 150 easy. the 200 gets me in the 48 mph rans. Also, When I hook up the gas line, can I put a t on the line coming from the tank? With a T will it still pump and create a vaccum from the tank? I have a premix in the tank.

A standard 9.9 will work sort of work OK, a high thrust 9.9 will work very well.

You should have a fuel filter mounted near the stern, there should be another outlet on it for a second motor, you can plumb it into that. You need to have a squeeze bulb between the filter and each motor, this stops fuel from being sucked out of the motor that's not running.

I'm not a fan of the 10% rule, some boats around here would need 30 - 50ph kickers if that rules was used, most of them run a Yamaha T8, T9.9, or T15, most use T8's.

I can't answer your question about the 9.9 but if it's a "high thrust" model, that would help. As far as teeing off your main line it should work fine, but may I suggest something?

If you have the room, use a seperate tank and fill it from another source than your main tank. This way if you lose the big engine due to contaminated fuel or fuel line problems you still have use of your kicker.
