I pressure washed - sanded and blew it off - wiped it down with mineral spirits and wiped it dry. Went to auto parts store and bought some self etching primer and primed the engine. I check on it a couple hours later and there is gear oil seeping out of the small hole I have circled in the photo. I don`t remember any oil ever coming from there. Can anyone tell me what the hole is for and what I need to do next? I had the motor tilted up and turned to the right .

It drains water from a cavity in the casting.-----Keeps it from freezing / cracking in cold climates.

Thank you racerone, I cleaned it out with a q-tip and I can see a smaller hole in the bottom of the hole in question. I did use some de-greaser before I washed it. I will look at it again in the morning. Thanks again.
