kiekheifer mercury 7.5 hp value?

Have a friend of a friend that wants to buy my kiekheifer mercury 7.5 hp outboard thunderbolt. No idea value and not having luck searching online. Don't want to give it away and don't want to offend with a value. Any reccomendations?

Btw, ran like a top when put away a few years back. Freshwater only.

It looks like a 1968 or there abouts. ----Value depends on your local market.----If there is a local shop that will help a buyer , makes a difference.-----People who can not work on them do not want them.------People who know how to repair a motor like that have 6 of them already.-----I say there will be lots of boats and motors on the market in the next few months.

If it doesnt run at the moment you show it and attempt to sell it, it doesnt matter when it 'last ran' or how recently 'it did run'.

It either runs or it doesnt, and should expect it to fetch $ accordingly, based on your local market.

Only caveat would be it seems to have compression and isnt locked up when pulled. But that still doesnt make it a runner, just somewhat more likely to be a runner...
